This vine I harvested 5 years ago when they were pulling up a whole field. I arrived and they had already piled the vines for burning and I asked for an hour to go grab my truck and trailer, They said yes and as soon as I left they torched the pile. I came back and pulled as many of the vines from the burning pile as I could to save them as these are 84 years old and have incredible character and color and part of California history.

The result was some of the vines have black marks, which I think looks fab, and it raised the grain as well. Very limited as I only managed to salvage a few of these and burned my hands, lost all my hair on my arms and my eyebrows much to the delight of my staff. Lol.. so I have an emotional attachment to these and have not released them for 5 years.

Its kiln dried then dried for up to 3 years before the bark is hand-stripped and kiln dried again. The wood is then meticulously sanded until the beauty of its winemaking history is revealed and sealed to protect it for a lifetime of use. This one-of-a-kind decor is a beautiful accessory for any room and can be ordered in many different sizes. It's finished with 3 coats of clear UV sealer to protect it for a lifetime of enjoyment.
